Q - HOW DO I JOIN BARROWFORD CELTIC? A - Depending on your age there are lots of ways to get involved 4 - 8 year olds are always welcome at our academy on Saturday mornings use our contact us page to get in touch with our academy director. For all other enquires please email our club secretary.
Q - IS THE ENVIRONMENT SAFE & FUN? A - Barrowford Celtic is a chartered standard club whose structure is based upon a safe and fun environment for children to learn and enjoy playing football. We have a dedicated welfare officer and all coaches and volunteers have safeguarding children qualifications and CRB checked.
Q - AS A PARENT DO I HAVE ANY RESPONSIBILITIES? A - Barrowford Celtic encourage and expect all the childrens parents to become an active member of the club. Our managers and coaches spedn a lot of time ensuring that the sessions and match days are orgainsed and we ask all parents to support the team manager or coach in helping prepare and support all team / group members.
Q - ARE THERE RULES WE HAVE TO ABIDE BY? A - All coaches, players and parents are subject to our codes of conduct. These codes of conduct are designed to ensure that the club abides not only to the laws of the game but also in respecting other players, teams and supporters. We take these codes of conduct very seriously and ask all members of the club to read and abide by the codes of coduct that can be downladed from this website.
Q - CAN I GET MORE INVOLVED WITH THE FOOTBALL CLUB? A - We are always looking for volunteers to run teams, help with running our very succesful club shop, assisting coaches, fundraising or virtually any other way you can think of. We run as a volunteer organisation for the benefit of the children playing our countries national sport. If you think you can help please contact us.
Q - WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED? A - Most of our coaches started with no qualifications. We have a duty to our players and our coaches to provide official qualifications that help in ensuring that all our players are taught to play the game safely and making ejoyment the biggest part of the game. FA accredited qualifications are arranged by the club for all prospective coaches and once you start its your decision where you stop from FA level one to your FIFA pro license all we ask is that you stay with the club for an agreed length of time.
